It lacks some content and the limited time events should be permanent. They should also add the PvP mode that was in R6 Siege because I feel this game needs some sort’ve PvP mode to keep it alive. Very solid game though besides that and I do think they are adding content at a somewhat decent rate. The maps are good, even though their aren’t many and the gunplay/stealth is slick too. If you want sumn to chill on with your friends or you wanna try a lil sumn new, get this!

Rainbow Six Extraction’s ‘fun’ is almost solely going to be based on if you have a three person squad with some friends and how effective your communication and strategy is. Another reviewer friend that was playing wasn’t enjoying Extraction nearly as much due to playing solo, but once I found two friends and gained out a handful of levels and Operators, it starts to fall into place and the fun begins, even if it does become repetitious later on. As to the longevity, that will depend on if you enjoy Extraction’s very challenging endgame and what content will be released in the future.

Rainbow Six Extraction is a bold game for the Tom Clancy brand that jumps head-first into an over-the-top, absurd mix of horror, sci-fi, and military realism. It does at times feel more like a Siege DLC than a stand-alone game, but it’s a solid option for players not interested or intimidated by Siege's intense PvP community. There are several interesting design decisions meant to encourage teamwork and decision making in each missions, though I’m not sure if there will be enough variety without PvP to keep players hooked long-term.

I would suggest just going back to Siege, as even the co-op part of that game was better than this full on co-op game. This game gets two points because the save state seems to work fine and the gun mechanics work also. All guns need silencers. Missions are the same thing over and over, do these 3 things, go thru these 2 airlocks. Super boring!

Overall, if you’re after a new co-op shooter to play with friends, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction isn’t a bad way to go. Sure it’s difficulty will be enough to turn some away, but should you stick with it, formulate a plan and not mind the frequent MIA operator in need of a saviour, what you’ll find is a competent multiplayer shooter that brings fantastic visuals and challenging gameplay to an already beloved franchise and with plenty of returning characters that players will know from before, this doesn’t feel like yet another game that you’ll need to learn from scratch. Is it worthy of being a fully-fledged game? I’m not so sure, but with it currently available on Xbox Game Pass, there is no reason to avoid checking out what is likely to be one of the years biggest shooters.

If you are the type of person who liked the tactical aspects of Rainbow Six: Siege but was put off by the PvP elements then Extraction is just the tactical experience you will really enjoy.

Rainbow Six Extraction really is what its description says it is. A stealth shooter spin-off of Siege. Although it's played comfortably solo or with random players online however the experience takes off when the party is planned, and team tactics can be unfolded in really many alternative ways. It may suffer in the variety aspect, both in enemies and mission design, but given the different approaches depending on the operator and the random distribution of objectives it's sure to keep even the least relevant to the genre glued for several hours.

Еще и в стиме нет, пришлось в юплее брать.

Conclusion: If you want to play a good game that’s similar to this, check out GTFO. It’s much more difficult but the game has a goal, a good but cryptic story/lore, and the gameplay is challenging and fun—things R6: Extraction lacks. I was really hoping for this to be good. At least there aren’t too many bugs? 4/10 for me. Don’t pay full price for this game. If you really want to play it, wait for a sale or use the gamepass subscription from Microsoft. This should’ve stayed as an event/DLC in Siege. I’m extremely disappointed.

Rainbow Six Extraction might be one of the most trite co-op shooters of recent memory. Testament to the fact that making an enjoyable PvE shooter is a little harder than simply rehashing a seasonal event, it's hard to see where the effort went. Shallow, scant, and lacking any soul whatsoever, it's as bland as the black goo that adorns its promotional material.

As a Rainbow Six Siege spin-off it’s fun to see all of the gadgets and mechanics of that game make their way over into the co-op space. The gun-feel is also on point. The ease at which you can throw out a recon drone or line up a head-shot through a wall is endlessly satisfying. And with all of its tactical stealthiness, Extraction plays unlike anything else we’ve seen in the co-op space. Unfortunately, it’s not enough to give the experience a true identity it can call its own.

While Rainbow Six Extraction stands out within its genre and the Tom Clancy lineup of games as a whole, it rarely does so to its advantage. This extremely tough experience becomes more frustrating if you play it alone or with random players. If someone is looking for a very involved cooperative game to play with their best friends, Rainbow Six Extraction may grab their attention, but its repetitiveness and terrible grind may get to players after a while.

Rainbow Six Extraction feels more like an expansion for Six Siege than a standalone game. It features a strong foundation that Ubisoft fails to build upon. Extraction can be a lot of fun playing with friends, but not so much if you plan on playing it alone.

Six years after Siege, Extraction is such a lazy follow up game. It's kind of a fun coop experience, but it's just so much less than it should have been. A strange alien bioweapon lands on Earth, is a great premise for a tactical shooter, and it's easy to imagine cool missions where you rush to a government lab to extract key scientists, or have to protect civilians trapped and surrounded by alien zombies, or you have to investigate a mutant strain that landed deep in the jungle, etc. The possibilities are endless. But in Extraction, you're just room clearing a few mundane locations that have been conveniently walled off with air locks, while completing the same handful of objectives.Siege brought innovative gameplay and unique maps to the tactical shooter genre, but Extraction seems more interested in just copy+pasting. You 'can' still use drones and reinforcements, but I don't know why you would. Your gun has a wall-hack flashlight that highlights enemies through walls (a terrible design decision that robs the game of tension). And reinforcing still takes a ton of time, but only seems to block your line of sight and allow the mostly melee enemies to sneak up on you. Mixing Siege's tactical breach and clear gameplay with a zombie shooter just doesn't work well. Zombies rush towards you en masse, so there's no methodical peaking corners or snuffing out an entrenched enemy. There are no hostages or friendly fire to require trigger discipline, and the planning/camera elements of Siege are totally absent.

At higher difficulty levels, the game can get pretty challenging while maintaining the fun factor. Although this feels more like an expansion of RS Siege, the game is cheaper than a full release and I feel it’s worth every penny. Worse case scenario, as another reviewer said, grab the PC Game Pass trial and make your own opinion of this game.

Once you start playing Rainbow Six: Extraction, it's difficult to stop. From the XP feed to the randomized nature of the levels and objectives, there's enough to keep players coming back for quite some time, especially with the constant opportunities to pull off nice saves amidst the chaos and tension. It is a great alternative for Rainbow Six fans who crave PvE after playing PvP for so long, but it also gives single-player fans a solid opportunity to experience some elements from Siege. It's still early in 2022, and a bevy of other co-op PvE games are still on the way, but Rainbow Six: Extraction provides enough variety that it needs to be played.

Ubisoft eventually came to the realization that it was time to get this game out the door, and the result is a jumbled pile of ideas you’ve seen before, executed in a wildly uninteresting way.

Rainbow Six Extraction surprised us with a surprising co-op PvE shooter that has a tactical twist, as well as a very satisfying and addictive mission and progression structure. It's also an excellent and more relaxed way to access later Rainbow Six Siege.

As long as you know that it's dangerous to go alone, Extraction is a blast. With Ubisoft Montreal looking to add more content in the future, I'll be ready to exterminate alien parasites for a long time to come.

Overall Rainbow Six: Extraction is a good co-op action game and maybe currently one of the best tactical PvE shooters you can play. It's a little bit too hard on higher levels, the progression fairly grindy, especially if you play it on lower difficulty. But that doesn't ruin the fun you'll have with your friends playing together, trouble-free across all platforms, if you want.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is an enjoyable game alone or with a squad. Good tactical shooting meets satisfying progression, but the end game has limited appeal.

As much as I enjoy the moment-to-moment gameplay of Rainbow Six Extraction and have had a blast with it both solo and in co-op, it's impossible to overlook the glaring balance issues and lack of any kind of appealing endgame it has at the moment. Ubisoft does have a great track record for turning decent games into great ones in the long run — just look at Siege or The Division — so I'm hoping we'll see a similarly impressive evolution here eventually. For now, though, Extraction is undeniably entertaining in the short term, but it's the long game that worries me, and I'd love to be proven wrong. When everything comes together here, Extraction somehow manages to capture everything that is great about the Rainbow Six series while also taking by far the most liberties with its premise and structure. That's got to count for something.

While it doesn't execute fully with its foundation, it does take more risks than I expected, to the point where it's going to be worth a look for some folks.

Net of an underlying repetitiveness that begins to emerge after a few hours of play, a non-exceptional enemy design and a series of fluctuations related to the balance of weapons and operators, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is an intense and compelling cooperative shooter , able to offer an experience different from other exponents of the genre, more oriented towards frenetic action and little to strategy.

Rainbow Six Extraction ran the risk of being labelled as an expansion or an unnecessary spinoff, but confidently proves that there is more than enough room in this universe for a survival horror tactical shooter built on the foundations laid down by Siege. With a mixture of enjoyable objectives, a diverse range of Operators and a compelling gameplay loop filled with aggressive enemies and intense action, the addictive nature of the experience shines through with a constant struggle between playing it safe or risking it all for greater reward. Rainbow Six Extraction is full of truly exciting and memorable moments, continually testing your skill and perseverance around every dark corner, which makes it an incredibly gripping experience that doesn’t let go easily.

Not only is Rainbow Six Extraction a great cooperative shooter, it also differentiates itself from most of the competition by promoting a more tactical, reasoned approach: the Archean threat is not to be underestimated, as things are always a poor decision away from turning sour for your team. It’s a real shame that you have to unlock almost everything though, difficulty levels included.

The greatest strong point of Extraction is undoubtedly to succeed in brilliantly mixing two distinctly different universes: on the one hand, the ultra-calculated military aspect of the Rainbow Six saga and, on the other, the tireless fashion of infected (or zombies) which has been attacking our favorite hobby for years.
