One of them has an option that isn't Attack. Another has an option to boost magic, but has no magic spells. Still boring. There's a puzzle that's basically a 2D Rubik's Cube, where you line up rooms with specific exits to reach four keys. When you line up the room you're in to a room with a key, you can't exit the room. WTF, why not? Annoying. There are no items to equip other than one accessory. No weapons, no armor, so you do and take the same damage no matter what. Boring. When you hover the mouse over an item you can pick it, it changes to a hand. The scenery is so cluttered though that you end up putting the mouse over every little thing, just in case. Annoying. Some positives: There's an elaborate crafting system (though, after 2 hours of play, I never found enough ingredients to make something other than a different crafting ingredient). Oh also, it is a game you can play to kill time.
The difficulty creates some unnecessary grinding, and finding materials to craft some spells is a pain, but short of these two aspects Sweet Lily Dreams is a well worthwhile adventure.
If you're a fan of classic 2D RPGs, then you shouldn't hesitate in picking up Sweet Lily Dreams. It has just the right mix of traditional gameplay and new ideas that make it a joy to play.
