Les joueurs verront leur dextérité et leur vivacité d'esprit mises à l'épreuve. En réagissant aux ennemis à l'écran, les joueurs doivent se frayer un chemin d'un ennemi à l'autre en faisant correspondre les couleurs des boutons du gamepad à celles des ennemis à l'écran avant de rebondir sur eux pour atteindre de nouveaux sommets. Plus le joueur grimpe, plus le jeu devient difficile, mais plus il est gratifiant...
Skybolt Zack est conçu pour privilégier le gameplay avant tout, avec 48 niveaux frénétiques, colorés et stimulants. Le joueur est toujours maître de son succès ou de son échec, mettant à l'épreuve sa force de caractère à chaque échec et récompensant chaque succès par une euphorie intense !

Skybolt Zack is a gem of a game. The focus on speed and execution is well done, but the variety in levels and enemy designs ensures that the act doesn't get old. The various pathways do a great job of adding in some replay value, and the challenge modes give hardcore players something else to work with. Combined with a solid presentation, Skybolt Zack is one of those games that may be a pleasant surprise when compared to some of the bigger indie games in the field.
Skybolt Zack is an action-packed, engaging but all-together a little too unforgiving action-platformer-rhythm-thing. Despite its unforgiving nature, It is a game that even the most useless of people (me) will have fun with and will offer a huge amount of replayability for those looking for a challenge due to the unique difficulty system. Looks, sounds and plays great, the first outing from Devs Must Die is one well worth giving a go.
Skybolt Zack is a hard to put down, quite enjoyable, if mildly shallow, game for anyone who enjoys speed-running and score maxing. That, combined with the excellent visuals and soundtrack, makes Skybolt Zack well worth a play-through.
A bare-knuckle slugfest, Skybolt Zack is a scrappy rhythm platformer with fun to be had for those who don’t throw in the towel.
The challenge presented by Skybolt Zack is entertaining to a point. But there are performative barriers and embedded frustrations that can sap the motivation of players. It’s at this point where the upbeat background music ceases its arcade nostalgic tone and grinds down further upon the player. Beyond engaging with Skybolt Zack on a performative level, it was of more interest to interrogate the gaps where the meaning of the game falls through – where a lot of players might find themselves residing.
