Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a brilliant platformer bursting with ideas, and even though it strictly adheres to tradition, every minute is still a joy. If PlayStation was looking for its own Mario, it found it.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure doesn't reinvent anything but it does well what a 3D platformer can do well. Unfortunately, the solo experience doesn't have the same excitement as playing it in co-op. In fact, playing single player means missing the multiplayer levels. If you have someone to share it with, you are going to find an adventure that makes you smile at all times, offering lots of fun. A challenge for adults and children.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure features some great platforming across gorgeous levels, with plenty to do and collect along the way. The music is a lovely touch to a rich and fulfilling adventure, and playing with others is the best way to enjoy it.

This game is great. Better than the LittleBigPlanet games. It's a very well crafted solid game. Haven't had this much fun in couch co-op in a while.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a successful outing, which with some adjustments in a possible next installment could even be a step in a better direction for the knitted protagonist. Especially in co-op great fun, although unfortunately we still have to wait for online co-op.

Honestly one of the best platformers I have ever played outside of Nintendo. Its a shame coop online isn't coming until December or so but you need to buy this game ASAP. One of PS5's gems for sure. Btw it's not $70!

Sumo Digital delivers a decent game mostly made for children : with a repetitive gameplay and a lack of real challenge, it still offers to a younger audience an unharmful and colorful adventure. Too bad the DualSense wasn't used more on PS5.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure isn’t the most attention-grabbing PS5 launch title. It’s fair to say it’s been completely overshadowed by Demon’s Souls and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, but it offers a wonderfully crafted alternative to what are more mature titles. Sony is on a roll with the PS5, with Sackboy: A Big Adventure being yet another title PS5 buyers should seriously consider adding to their collection.

This 10-12 hour adventure's humor, quirky personality, and entertaining gameplay offer tons for those looking for a fun family experience this holiday season. While it's harder than ever to bring people together, this is an experience that should be shared, so waiting for the online patch to release would be the right move.
