Online mode is essentially lag-free, depending on your internet connection. The only issue I have with online play is that you can only earn cosmetic rewards from the mode, paying at least 3.99 USD each month just to be able to unlock cosmetics. Cosmetics are the most likely reason as to why they wiped Miis out of this title. The new characters allow for cosmetics, unlike the mii characters, which can only use the equipment and clothing that you earn form the gift boxes in the game. Each sport feels fresh, with a new coat of paint, HD graphics, and improvements to previous sports, like bowling, which got split screen up to 4 players at 30 FPS, which feels choppy, so playing bowling like this could impact your chance to win. Each of the new sports are easy to pick up and can be difficultly fun. The only game that has button bindings is soccer, which uses the triggers to run and pass to your teammates. This game is a major improvement from the Wii titles, with its new sports, online functionality, cosmetics and new sports helps justify the games price.
