The characters have a certain rough style that help getting into playing a hero in the drawn world of the game. I also like the randomness of the game - picking up and passing on traits, or having a choice to assign traits, even though it involves picking cards that are face down. Yet there is still a lot of planning and scheming to be done.I like games where there is a tiny bit of luck involved, yet where the player is in control of their destiny. There is plenty of that in Hero Generations.
