Crytek UK et Crytek Frankfurt en sont les développeurs et le jeu a été réalisé par Cevat Yerli. Rob Letts et Nathan Camarillo sont ses producteurs, tandis que Clive Lindop et Sten Hubler sont ses concepteurs. La composition musicale a été confiée à Lorne Balfe et Hans Zimmer. Il s'agit d'un jeu à la fois solo et multijoueur.
