This game managed to be everything I had hoped it would be and then some, with all the wonderful attention to little details and customization options. Fans of the genre wont want to miss this one.

Ultimately Cities: Skylines has provided exactly what players wanted from SimCity 2013, and that ought to be all it takes to convince would-be city planners.

Cities: Skylines isn’t without its flaws, but even the things wrong with it add to its charm. It might not be that much of a challenge, but it delivers on the glee of expansion.

Cities: Skylines makes up for everything SimCity did wrong. It offers the possibility of making gigantic cities in which infrastructure is key. Building a city that does well sometimes gets a bit too easy, which also shows the limited offer in buildings. Thankfully the quickly growing community knows what to use the Steam Workshop for. This is only going to get better.

Coupled with the ease of modding and the Steam Workshop for asset and mod management the game offers a stunning array of content for $30. In a year I am sure that the entire game is going to be rebuilt by fans. The base game is solid, but it could do with a few more optional scenarios that effect your city such as wide spread disasters (highway interchanges don't count!) or economic hardships that could be unique to the play experience. For a game that started with 8 people and ended with a humble team of 14, I have a feeling the resounding commercial success and clear vision for this project will give it plenty of solid expansions or DLC. I look forward to seeing them. Bottom line: if you like city building games - BUY THIS GAME, YOU WON'T REGRET THIS!

As limber as Cities: Skylines is, it’s sorely lacking in replayability. Instead, it lets you get the most out of your favorite city by encouraging you to endlessly optimize and furthermore giving you the tools you need to do it. Come for the ant farm spectacle and spreadsheet detail. Stay for the endless cultivation of your favorite garden.

Being a Paradox game I was worried about the UI, they tend to use very small fonts on every game what makes them really tough to play after a while on hi-res screens but this is not the case fortunately. From my point of view it has the first place in the podium regarding city building games.Some of the things I would love to see in the future are: day/night cycle, weather changes and more variety on buildings.If you like city building games you ought to have this one. 9/10
