Battle Academy est un jeu de stratégie tactique plein d'action dans lequel vous devez prendre le commandement d'un groupe d'unités sélectionnées et les mener à travers les batailles sur les différents fronts de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. En tant que commandant, vous devrez employer des tactiques d'armes combinées réelles afin d'assurer la victoire. Cela signifie que vous devrez tendre des embuscades pour surprendre les forces adverses, utiliser des tirs de suppression pour les coincer, flanquer les blindés hostiles pour un effet maximal et, si nécessaire, assaillir l'ennemi pour dégager des points forts. Dans certains cas, vous aurez également accès à une artillerie et à un soutien aérien puissants hors carte, capables d'affaiblir les défenses ennemies, voire de stopper net une attaque ennemie. En même temps, vous devrez faire très attention au moral de vos propres troupes et utiliser des unités de reconnaissance pour repérer toute embuscade hostile ou attaque de flanc.

Overall, it just feels too casual, too cartoony. On a tablet that can be forgiven, but as a PC game it seems more than a little limiting.

I also liked the comic book storytelling in between missions.

At last a game that teaches you strategy while steadily amping up the difficulty level. The graphics are surprisingly detailed yet fun at the same time. There is a huge variety of missions especially if you get the complete pack. There is enough complexity to also keep more experienced wargamers interested. I was really surprised at how good this game is. My only negative would be the rather steep price especially for the complete game, given the fact that for all intents and purposes it is a souped up Ipad port. However it is done really well and if you are willing to shell out you won't be disappointed and are in for hours of replayable fun!
