The story escalates a little too quickly due to its short length, making it somewhat awkward, but still coherent in its own clumsy way. The humor is very silly, and the characters are weirdly developed in a forced and unpredictable manner.Stylistically, the art style is gorgeous and the soundtrack is appealing, not much to say, it was prolly one of the main reasons why we bought this game after all. The lack of unique animations, different expressions, or even reactions make it somewhat stale, but still the most remarkable aspect of the game.Gameplaywise it's a very simple game, following the traditional style of detective games. The fact you can proceed with the story even if you fail is interesting, multiple endings is a nice touch as well. What isn't so interesting, however, is how easy it is to miss stuff, and, even if you notice your mistakes, there's no way to go back somehow, except by rewinding back the days; be it an specific event you should've triggered at a determined point, a phrase unnoticed during a boring dialogue, or an option you chose wrongly while analyzing something in a scenario.A few things that could be improved: coin system is pretty much useless, jury could have a meter so you can keep track on how many times you can miss, quicksaves could be a thing, trial logic could be a little more realistic (or at least more consistent), some new mechanics could've been added to make it more unique (an idea would be the addition of better developed side quests as alternative methods of getting evidences or of unlocking another route to find the truth; while it is present in some ways in the game it could be better), a larger connection between the cases, etc. It's not a bad game, but it's not a solid one either. It feels more like a quick experience that is somewhat unmemorable. I'd rate it a 5.5/10.

While Aviary Attorney may not be the most original piece of media on the surface, deep down it is easily one of the most enjoyable games of the year so far. The game itself is a compliment to the assets it uses. Maybe there are a few cringe worthy puns here or there, but ultimately I think this game is worthwhile to anyone who gets a chance to play it.

Aviary Attorney could’ve quite easily been a birdbrained game built solely to ruffled some of Capcom’s feathers. However it quickly becomes clear that JayJay and friends have more than enough smarts to even outwit Capcom’s much loved attorney at some turns.

Funny, sweet and charming is the detective humoresque with two birds in the roles of the snoopers. The new adventure perfectly resembles the life in the 19th century and will address all lovers of an unobtrusive humor, history and slower pace of the game.

While not the most interactive of adventures, Aviary Attorney takes a successful visual novel formula and builds on it in significant ways, all while managing to be sincerely funny and charming.
