Supermarket Simulator heads to Nintendo Switch 2 this fall

Nokta Games' retail sim hits Nintendo Switch 2 this fall with a physical edition - here's what's included and what it costs.

Silver Lining Interactive is teaming up with Nokta Games to bring Supermarket Simulator to Nintendo Switch 2. The game arrives Fall 2026, available both digitally and in a physical edition.

From PC sensation to Switch 2

Nokta Games is a Turkish studio credited as both the developer and publisher of Supermarket Simulator on PC. The game launched into Early Access on February 20, 2024, and reached its full version 1.0 release on June 19, 2025. The studio claims the title “sparked a global gaming phenomenon” and counts over 4 million PC players. For the Switch 2 port, Silver Lining Interactive – a publishing house based in the north of England, founded by seasoned industry professionals – is handling the console release.

What you do in the game

Gameplay covers stocking shelves, setting prices, taking payments, hiring staff, expanding the store, handling shoplifters, designing the layout, buying goods from online or local markets, and delivering online orders to customers. The core loop is a first-person retail sandbox, and the feature set on Switch 2 mirrors the full PC build:

Feature Detail
Store management Custom layout design, shelf stocking
Economics Dynamic market pricing, bank loans, inventory orders
Checkout Cash and card payment scanning
Growth Staff hiring, product licences, store expansion
Online orders Sourcing goods and delivering to customers

Physical edition and pricing

The game will ship with a physical version alongside its digital launch, though the physical copy is a game-key card rather than a traditional cartridge. Physical pre-orders are open now via Silver Lining Direct and select local retailers, priced at £29.99 / $34.99 / €34.99.

The PC version on PC

Supermarket Simulator remains available on PC via Steam, where it carries the same core gameplay the Switch 2 version is based on. Pick it up or track the price below.

Editorial take

Supermarket Simulator was one of the defining sim hits of 2024, built by a tiny team but capable of pulling in millions of players. A Switch 2 port with a proper physical edition – even if it is a key card – signals that Silver Lining Interactive sees real console demand for the genre. Fall 2026 is a broad window, so a firmer release date would be welcome, but deal hunters should keep an eye on the physical pre-order price as launch approaches.
